The west side is less immediately spectacular, but it&#8217;s also much less busy and the starting point for several great hikes that access the &#8220;back&#8221; side of the range. Driggs, Idaho makes for a good base, there are various motels (much more reasonably priced than those in Jackson) and even a surprisingly good Thai restaurant (Teton Thai).
