{"id":989,"date":"2017-11-14T23:29:13","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T06:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/philarmitage.net\/blog\/?p=989"},"modified":"2017-11-14T23:29:13","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T06:29:13","slug":"yukons-tombstone-provincial-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/philarmitage.net\/blog\/?p=989","title":{"rendered":"Yukon&#8217;s Tombstone Provincial Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The far north of Canada was in the news today, with the opening of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2017\/nov\/14\/canada-highway-tuktoyaktuk-remote-towns\">road<\/a> (unpaved, there are limits to even the Canadian government&#8217;s largesse) between Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk. The closest I&#8217;ve gotten to these outposts is Tombstone Provincial Park, which is near the start of the (also unpaved) Dempster highway that leads across the arctic circle up to Inuvik.
